Our Recreational Program is designed to create an environment that provides foundations and fundamentals to all players looking to enjoy the beautiful game. Coaches are volunteers and practice once or twice a week with one game on the weekend during the season.

Developmental Players - Per season registration fees are $100.00

Mini Kicks Players - Per season registration fees are $75.00

What are the fees for?

WHSYA is a not for profit corporation and fees include:

• Field use (the club pays for maintenance and upkeep of the fields and park)

• Administration

• Registration fees & insurance

• Referees

How are the teams formed?

Teams are formed based on birth year.

Can I request coaches and teammates?

Due to the continuously increasing number of participants WHYSA will not be able to accommodate, coach requests, transportation issues or practice night requests. We only allow coaches to request up to 3 players for their team.  If your child is not requested they will be placed on a team at random.

How are the coaches decided?

In the developmental program, coaches are volunteer parents. There are approximately 50 developmental teams and the club always needs coaches especially in the younger age groups. If you are interested, please contact the club at Teams are formed by birth year.  If there is not a coach in the assigned birth year, a parent will be asked to volunteer.  If the team cannot be formed due to lack of available coaches, the player fee will be refunded.

Is there required equipment?

YES – all players are required to wear shin guards and soccer cleats at practice and games.

Players are required to wear the developmental club uniforms at games (including correct color socks)

(baseball and football cleats are not allowed).
