Fall League 2008
Players Equipment
- Each player MUST wear shin guards at every game and practice.
- SHOES: Tennis shoes may be worn; soccer cleats are
recommended. "All-purpose" or baseball or football shoes are
NOT ALLOWED.
- Uniforms (jersey, shorts, and socks) are provided through
sponsor support.
- In cold weather, players MAY wear sweats UNDER the uniform
jersey & Shorts.
- "Slide shorts" MUST be the same color as the uniform
shorts and may not be lower than the knee.
- Glasses MUST be secured by a strap, & should be
shatterproof.
- Absolutely NO CASTS are permitted.
- NO JEWELRY is to be worn.
- The referees determine whether players' equipment is acceptable or
not.
Playing The Game
- Home games are played on Saturdays at SIMMERS-YOUNG PARK, south of
C.R. 542, behind the Auburndale Speedway.
- Players will usually have three soccer activities per week: two
practices, one game.
- Tournament play such our Charity Challenge (November) and the Judges
Cup (December) may involve games on Sunday.
- Teams in some age groups may travel occasionally to other fields in
the area.
- In recreational soccer, every player MUST play at least half of every
game (except in case of injury, illness, or discipline: the coach
notifies the referee).
- SUBSTITUTIONS may be made on a teams OWN throw-in. Either team may sub
on goal kicks, at halftime, when a goal is scored, or in case of
injury.
- Please do not argue with the referees:
THIS REQUIREMENT IS MANDATED BY THE STATE ASSOCIATION (FYSA) and
THE C4 DISTRICT COMMISSION.
THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE.
